Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every order placed through this site. They are written to be read, not to be survived. Nothing here limits the rights Dutch consumer law gives you — where a term and the law disagree, the law wins.
Who you are contracting with
Orders placed on socksource.shop are a contract between you and SOCK SOURCE B.V. (trading name Vodde, brand Inkstep), Bisschop Bekkerslaan 263, 5046 JZ Tilburg, Nederland, KvK 76393682, BTW NL860610445B01.
You must be at least 18 to place an order. We do not knowingly sell to anyone under 13. Anyone aged 13 to 17 needs the consent of a parent or guardian to use this site.
How an order is formed
Items shown on this site are an invitation to order, not a binding offer. The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. If we cannot fulfil an order — because an item is out of stock, a pattern has been withdrawn, or we cannot deliver to your address — we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.
If a price is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have realised that, we are not bound by it.
Prices and currency
All prices on this site are shown and charged in US Dollars (USD). There is no other currency on this site and no currency switcher. Your bank may convert the amount and may charge you for doing so; that charge is between you and your bank.
Dutch VAT at 21% is included in the displayed price where it applies. Shipping is added at checkout and is free on orders over USD 50.
Every purchase is a one-off. We do not operate memberships, subscriptions, store credit, points, or recurring charges of any kind.
Promotions and reference prices
Where we show a discount against a previous price, the previous price shown is the lowest price we applied to that item in the 30 days before the discount. If a price does not meet that test, we do not show a struck-through price at all.
We do not run “limited edition” or “last ever” scarcity claims. If something genuinely is limited, we state the actual number.
Any discount code, free-shipping threshold or introductory offer states its conditions where it appears, and those conditions are visible before you commit to the order.
Delivery
We deliver to the countries listed at checkout. Delivery times and carriers are set out on the shipping and returns page. Unless we agree otherwise, we deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed.
Risk passes to you when the goods are handed to you or to someone you have nominated to receive them.
Export, customs and local restrictions
Orders shipped outside the European Union may attract import duties, customs charges or local taxes when they arrive. These are charged by the destination country, are payable by you, and are not included in the price you pay us.
You are responsible for checking that the goods may lawfully be imported into your country. We do not ship to destinations subject to trade sanctions or export controls that would make the shipment unlawful, and we may cancel and refund an order if a restriction applies.
What we say about our products
Fibre content is stated with the legal fibre names required in the EU. Where a pattern is printed rather than knitted in, we say so on the product page.
The Texture Illusion line imitates materials it is not made of. Every one of those products states, on the product page, that it is a printed pattern and not the actual texture.
Two products have a left and a right sock that differ from one another by design. That is marked at the top of the product page, in the cart, at checkout and on the packaging. It is not a fault, and it is not a reason we will refuse a return.
Printed and dyed socks can transfer colour when new, especially dark patterns on light footwear. Wash separately the first time.
Your legal rights
Your legal rights under Dutch law are not limited to a fixed number of years. How long a product must last depends on what you can reasonably expect from it. Any commercial guarantee we offer is in addition to those rights, never instead of them.

Intellectual property
Every pattern on this site was drawn for these socks. The drawings, photographs and text on socksource.shop belong to SOCK SOURCE B.V. and may not be reproduced without permission.
We do not accept customer-supplied artwork, and there is no upload function on this site.
If you hold rights you believe one of our patterns infringes, tell us and we take it down first and look into it after. Use the objection form on the pattern notice page, or email support@socksource.shop.
Payment security and your card details
This site is served over HTTPS. Every page, including the checkout, is encrypted in transit.
We do not collect, process or store card numbers on our own servers at any point. Payment is completed on the secure page of a payment services provider certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Your card details are entered there, not here, and are never transmitted to us.
What we do hold is the information you type into our checkout form — your name, contact details and delivery address — which we need to fulfil the order and to meet our legal obligations to you. That is set out in the privacy statement.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. If you see a charge you do not recognise, contact us at support@socksource.shop before disputing it and we will trace it with you.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that may not be limited under Dutch law.
Subject to that, our liability in connection with an order is limited to the value of that order.
Complaints and disputes
Tell us first — support@socksource.shop or +31 85 0160421. We acknowledge complaints within 14 days and aim to resolve them within 30.
If we cannot resolve it between us, you can bring the matter to the Dutch courts. You can also raise the issue with the Autoriteit Consument & Markt through their consumer portal, ACM ConsuWijzer.
We are not a member of a sector dispute scheme, so we do not display one.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it. Changes never reduce the statutory rights you already have.
